EL REY CHORIZO’S ROOTS BEGAN IN 1964.
Reyes Gonzales, father, grandfather, and expert butcher, opened his first meat market in Monterrey, Mexico. When business was slow, he walked door to door selling baskets of freshly made chorizo, believing deeply in the quality of his craft.
That commitment to tradition, flavor, and family is still at the heart of El Rey today.
